It's that the hotword function in Google Now no longer works after updating to Kit Kat. Before KK, I could disable TC completely and still open Google Now and say "Ok Google" to launch a search. That functionality was added with Google Search for Android 4.1 and above. It was working on my Moto X when it was on 4.2.2. Now it doesn't work.
