I want to make sure I'm doing this right because I'm searching to figure out the difference between a repeater and bridge mode and it's still not very clear to me.

I am able to view security settings on my main router on my web browser, but I do not understand the technical terms. I read that I have to set up the Airport Extreme as a new network, using the same network name, password, and security settings.

I even asked in the apple forum, though don't can't trust answers there to be unbiased. Apparently , there is no way TP Link and Apple being compatible, though I saw a post about someone using a tplink access point router as a repeater for the airport extreme. So, I'm still at a loss here
